Erika Fritz

As a high school English teacher in Chicago Public Schools, Erika initially came to yoga for physical transformation and to find better work-life balance. After connecting with a like-minded and supportive community of yogis, she decided to combine her talent for teaching with her passion for the practice by enrolling in a 200-hour teacher training. When the opportunity arose to relocate to Boston in the summer of 2015, she left the classroom for the studio to pursue teaching yoga full time.

Erika is dedicated to continually learning and growing as a teacher. She has over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, completed her 300-hour teacher training at Down Under Yoga in 2016, and will complete a mentorship on the power of touch with Nicole Clark and a 200-hour Ayurveda training with Kate O’Donnell in 2017.

Erika also strives to create authentic connections with her students, welcoming them to linger after class to ask questions, give feedback, and chat about all things yoga. When not sweating and stretching, Erika enjoys downtime with her partner of twelve years, Philip, and their cat, Matilda.
